Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, stated on Saturday that Full Self-Driving (FSD) may soon be offered to Chinese consumers by the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer.
Musk responded to a user’s X post inquiring when the EV manufacturer would introduce FSD in China with the words, “It may be possible very soon.”
Despite consumer pressure, the Musk-led electric vehicle manufacturer launched FSD four years ago but has not yet made it available in China.
By releasing comparable software, other Chinese automakers have been trying to outperform Tesla.
Chinese automaker Xpeng announced in March that it is modernizing its sophisticated driver assistance software and intends to make all of its features accessible to Chinese drivers by 2024.
Xpeng’s XNGP Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is similar to Tesla’s FSD technology.
