While some are jumping to conclusions about a split, the true explanation could be more simple. The idea of a full-fledged divorce battle with Lopez seemed to have terrified him. This dread is so intense that he still wears his wedding band as a symbol of his devotion, even when there is a lot of talk going around.
Ben Affleck has become apprehensive about JLo’s move.
A insider told InTouch that although Affleck knew the singer would never accept his suggestion to leave the house, “the more time that’s gone on, the more fearful he’s gotten about how she’s going to react once it’s officially done.” The Accountant 2 star, who is presently living in his Brentwood apartment, has been seen exchanging puzzling glances with his wedding band.
However, he has not fully abandoned it. Insiders say the ring issue stems from J.Lo’s insistence on public demonstrations of oneness. Affleck is quite anxious about the entire scenario.
“The way she’s insisted on them wearing their rings and doing all this damage control, to her huge fit over him moving his stuff out, has got him anxious,” according to them.

Jennifer Lopez ‘not going away quickly’
The pop queen, who cancelled her million-dollar Los Angeles residency to spend time with her children, is now relaxing in the Hamptons. She has even been seen connecting with Ben Affleck’s daughter, Violet. This growing connection between J.Lo and Violet is apparently making it tough for Affleck to leave the situation. Apparently, the 54-year-old is not contemplating a quiet exit. According to insiders, she’s becoming increasingly frustrated as things progress, and she’s made it obvious that she expects Affleck to “play the game just like she’s doing.”
“Until this divorce is final, she wants him to wear the ring and still act like a married man,” according to the insider. Meanwhile, Ben is spending as much time away from her as possible since he does not want to cope with another confrontation. He’s walking on eggshells and has no idea when she’ll blow up.”
