Chengdu, China hosted the 21st China International Software Corporation Conference with great success. A subforum of the conference called Cooperation Negotiation on Standardization and Internationalization brought attention to the importance of China and Pakistan’s expanding software partnership.
The Pakistan Software Association’s chairman, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, gave a perceptive summary of the nation’s software sector during the event, emphasizing notable developments in gaming, animation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and gaming. Additionally, he highlighted the alluring incentives offered by the Special Technology Zone Authority (STZA).
Pakistani enterprises exhibit proficiency in specialized domains including Fintech, Healthcare, E-commerce, and other solutions that are highly sought-after worldwide. China and Pakistan can work together on joint ventures and co-development projects in addition to services. According to Mr. Khan, he went on to emphasize the significance of Pakistani IT firms in African markets, especially in fields like Gulf Tech and FinTech. China Economic Net (CEN) reported that Chinese businesses looking to enter these areas may consider collaborating with their Pakistani counterparts.
In response, Pakistani businesses should look to collaborate with Chinese counterparts in order to obtain cutting-edge technologies and resources for research and development.
The Pakistan Software Association provided an overview and contact details of 38 Pakistani software companies during the conference.
Additionally, a list of needs for collaboration partners from Pakistani businesses was revealed; these requirements covered topics including blockchain technology cooperation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.
The China-Pakistan Cooperation Center on Technical Standardization was founded in 2020 by the Chengdu Standardization Research Institute, one of the forum’s organizers, in association with Punjab University in Pakistan.
The China-Pakistan Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Matchmaking Meeting and the China-Pakistan IT Product Market Access Training and Exchange Meeting were both successfully organized in 2023. The Chengdu Standardization Research Institute spokesman stated, “Going forward, the center will continue to serve as a platform for exchange and cooperation between China and Pakistan, facilitating the interoperability of standards and technologies between the two countries.”
