ISLAMABAD–Fawad Chaudhry, a former federal minister, requested time from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a contempt action filed against him.
The Nisar Durrani-led commission heard Fawad Chaudhry’s ECP contempt case.
The commission requested Chuadhry’s response, as the case had been waiting for the past two years.
The former minister requested time because he planned to travel to China following approval from the Islamabad High Court.
It should be noted that the IHC cancelled Chaudhry’s indictment in the ECP contempt case.
