Esha Deol reacts to Ameesha Patel claiming star kids like Kareena Kapoor and her ‘snatched’ roles from her

Recently, Ameesha Patel discussed nepotism in the entertainment business and recalled how other actors reacted to her achievement. Now, Esha Deol has addressed her assertion.


Esha Deol, who began her acting career in the early 2000s with Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, and Ameesha Patel, voiced her “shock” at Ameesha’s statement that she and her peers “snatched” parts from her. Esha is shocked by what Ameesha said.
In response to Ameesha’s statement, Esha asked, “Did she? My ideas are very different. I believe that each of us was preoccupied with the things that were assigned to us. I had some amazing friendships with the girls from that era, and as far as I know, nobody stole anyone’s position.

“Everyone was very busy and happy working in their own zone,” she continued. It was incredibly pleasant because everyone was warm and courteous, including the guys and all the girls.I believe that everyone of us was overworked and underutilized. Not that any of us was lounging around without a job.

Ameesha said that Esha and Kareena had stolen roles.

Ameesha claimed in a 2023 interview that her peers were unable to handle her success. “When I entered the film industry, I only had film actors’ kids or producers’ kids enter with me,” Ameesha said to Bollywood Hungama. “You name it, you turn your head and it was a film family third generation person coming in.” This list included Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Tushar Kapoor, Esha Deol, and Fardeen Khan.

She went on, saying, “I was the outsider and this girl from south Bombay was treated like a snob because I was the outsider with education. I was labeled a snob for choosing to read even though I was the one who avoided b**** on sets, read books, and refrained from gossiping.”

In 2023, Ameesha returned to the big screen in Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma. She and Sunny Deol were reunited in the movie. After its August 11 release, Gadar 2 went on to become one of the biggest box office successes of the previous year.

However, Esha has not yet disclosed the title of her upcoming movie. At the 69th National Film Award, her short film Ek Duaa—her first feature film as a producer—won a National Film Award.
