Karachi – The first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft, PK-6260, carrying 205 students from Bishkek who were stuck in Kyrgyzstan, arrived in Karachi on Thursday.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and others greeted the students upon their homecoming. Families of students were also in huge numbers at Karachi Airport.
In addition, PIA is operating special flights to return students stuck in Kyrgyzstan to Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Multan in phases.
It should be mentioned that Pakistani students have gone home on multiple planes from Bishkek. Speaking to the media at the airport on this occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stated that the province government was in constant contact with the Kyrgyzstan government over the students’ repatriation.
The province government arranged the necessary travel arrangements from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan. He thanked Allah for the safe return of the pupils. 205 students have returned, including 55 females and 150 males.
Ninety-nine students are from Karachi, while the rest come from different areas in Sindh. The students praised Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for taking swift action to return them home.
