Munawar Faruqui has finally commented on his second marriage to makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwal. The stand-up comedian made his first public appearance in Mumbai since his wedding on Friday, confirming his marriage by reacting to photographers who congratulated him. Several videos of Munawar from his most recent outing have appeared online. One video shows the Bigg Boss 17 winner leaving a building. When the paparazzi stationed outside to photograph him congratulated him on beginning a new chapter in his life, he blushed.
As the congratulatory messages poured in, he replied modestly, “Thank you”. While he did not go into detail about his second marriage, it was the first time he addressed both his relationship and marriage to Mehzabeen.
The video is gaining popularity on social media. “Munawar respect button,” wrote one user, while another wrote, “He’s blushing”.
“Cute,” said one user, while another wrote “CONGRATULATIONS”.
About his marriage
Last month, Munawar married makeup artist Mehzabeen in a private ceremony. The news broke when photos of the newlyweds appeared online and went viral on social media. They married in an intimate ceremony attended only by their closest friends and family. Mehzabeen is reportedly divorced, with a 10-year-old daughter from her first marriage.
Munawar and Mehzabeen are believed to have met for professional reasons a few months ago and quickly fell in love. On May 26, the newlyweds held a wedding reception at Mumbai’s ITC Grand Maratha.

The comedian was previously married to Jasmine and has a six-year-old son, Mikael. He first discussed his family on Kangana Ranaut’s reality television show Lock Upp. He also discussed his son with Mannara Chopra during his participation in Bigg Boss 17.
“I’ve been with someone for the past two years. I was married in 2017 and separated in 2020. Last year, our divorce was finalised. Amidst all of this, my son is the best thing in my life. “He is five years old and lives with me,” he explained.
Munawar became close to his fellow prisoner, Anjali Arora, who is a social media sensation. However, they refused to accept their relationship. Before marrying Mehzabeen, he briefly dated Nazila Sitaishi.
