ISLAMABAD – While responding to the Supreme Court’s decision on reserved seats, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stated that it will pave the way for their return to power.
Mahmood Achakzai, the head of the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP), stated that farmers should be given their full rights.
While speaking to the media, he stated that the Prime Minister should take note of the wheat scam.
Achakzai described the recent meeting between the American ambassador and PTI leaders as a favorable omen, saying, “We want the supremacy of the constitution in the country.”
PTI lawmaker Asad Qaiser commented on the government’s dual strategy, saying that on the one hand, “the government woos investors in the country while on the other, the people are being deprived of their basic rights.”
PTI will organize nationwide rallies today against suspected election cheating.
Qaiser commented on the top court’s decision to accept the PTI-backed SIC challenge against the high court’s finding that denied the party of its reserved seats, saying, “If the courts continue to give such verdicts, there will be a PTI government soon.”
Concerning the wheat scandal, he claimed, “Shahbaz Sharif is involved in the wheat scandal, and instead of any spectacle, money should be recovered from all those involved in the wheat scandal.”
He stated that there are communications with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, that our goal is to unify against the illegitimate administration, and that we do not recognize it.
