LAHORE – The Punjab cabinet authorized the air ambulance project on Tuesday, paving the way for considerable improvements in emergency medical services.
This venture intends to begin with the leasing of two airplanes. These flying ambulances will be equipped to transport doctors, paramedics, critical medical equipment, and life-saving medications.
The aircraft are designed to operate on short runways. They will also be able to land and take off on national highways and motorways.
Patients might be transported from any place to the nearest hospital, then to larger government medical institutions.
In case of emergency, any major adjacent roadway can serve as a landing spot for the air ambulance.
