Tabu highlighted pay equity in the film industry, questioning why only female actresses are asked about it. She stated that male actors should also be asked.
Tabu is tired of hearing the same questions about pay equal in the film industry aimed at female actresses. The actor, who spoke with We Are Yuvaa during the promotional rounds of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, suggested that the same question be directed at those who pay male performers more. What Tabu Said
During the conversation, Tabu stated, “Every media person will question a female about pay parity. Every journalist will just ask the woman, “You know, a man is paid more, and you are paid less.” So, why are you asking me? Why don’t you ask the one who pays them the most? How am I supposed to respond to this question? Unless you want to sensationalize the comment by stating, ‘I detest it that I’m getting paid less,’ that’s all. I can either say that or say, ‘I’m satisfied with my pay.’ “Why don’t you ask the male actor why you’re paid more?”
She went on to say, “That will be an interesting perspective.” This whole beautiful perspective, I believe, becomes more interesting when viewed via an outside lens. Beauty or physicality is always contextualized by the lens in which it is viewed.”
