Karachi – Mufti Taqi Usmani, a prominent Islamic scholar, stated on Saturday that the country must break free from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Western civilization.
Speaking at a ceremony, he stated that every child was in debt to the IMF, lamenting that Pakistanis had simply become’slaves’ to the IMF since ‘we don’t have any other choice except to comply with their demands.
He went on to say that Islamic law could not be applied in Pakistan under the current circumstances.
When it came to the economy, Usmani urged the country to stop relying on imported goods and instead focus on increasing exports to revive the economy. He advocated for losing interest in financial problems.
“Traders can compel any government to alter its decisions as they act as the jugular vein of any country,” he told me.
“We were unable to expand railway tracks following split. “We couldn’t even create a road leading to Lake Saiful Malook,” he lamented.
He stated that every party complains about rigging after an election and urged everyone to work together for Pakistan’s prosperity.
When it comes to the economy, Usmani urged the government to avoid relying on imported commodities and instead focus on expanding exports to boost the economy. He pushed for losing interest in financial issues.
