Kanye West’s $2.2M California ranch is a far cry from the $60M family compound where Kim Kardashian lives

Kanye West’s $2.2 million Calabasas ranch, along with the adjoining 300 acres purchased for an additional $4 million, is in complete disarray while he and Bianca Censori seek refuge elsewhere.

Kanye West’s Calabasas ranch is no longer as impressive as it once was. The rapper’s $2.2 million home appears to be in total disrepair in the most recent decrepit glimpse. The tattered look of his California ranch is just miles away from another Calabasas compound, which is currently home to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and their children. In contrast, the latter $60 million family compound’s glory is as gleaming as ever.

Though abandoned, Kanye’s ranch was once a gathering place for Sunday Service congregations and the headquarters of the rapper’s infamous Donda Academy. West bought it in 2018, then expanded by purchasing the adjacent 300 acres for an additional $4 million.

DailyMail.com has revealed brand-new sneak peeks at the house in utter despair, proving that it is still uninhabited and in far worse condition than imagined. On some patches, debris and roof pieces line the house’s boundary, and a gaping hole at the entrance gives the place a haunted appearance.

Where does Kanye West live these days?
According to previous reports, Kanye and his current wife, Bianca Censori, live in a West Hollywood apartment in Los Angeles. Their new location is reportedly a drive from the Yeezy headquarters. While West’s Calabasas property is falling apart, the controversial couple appears to pay $20,000 per month for their latest abode in a luxury building.

West’s new apartment, while far from his Calabasas compound, includes amenities such as a rooftop cafe, valet, 24-hour concierge service, heated pool, bar, lounge area, and private cinema.

What do we know about Kanye West’s abandoned Calabasas house?

Ye previously lived on the Calabasas property with his then-girlfriend Irina Shayk. The bachelor pad appears to combine two guest houses, totaling six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. In its former glory, the property would have domes that had seemingly fallen into ruinous neglect.

Recognised as 50-foot “Yecosystems,” these once-iconic structures were built in collaboration with Yeezy Home, his label’s architecture branch that debuted in 2018.
A year later, in an interview, the Vultures hitmaker showed off the domes’ early designs. The Forbes interaction revealed that they were inspired by the fictional planet Tatooine from Star Wars.

More on Kim Kardashian’s Calabasas mansion, located eight miles away.
Kim and Kanye purchased their Calabasas mansion for $20 million in 2014. West collaborated with renowned Belgian interior decorator Alex Vervoort, and he reportedly invested another $20 million for a full-fledged renovation.

.The ex-couple was at odds, negotiating who would get the house behind Hidden Hills’ exclusive gates. Kim reportedly agreed on a buyout price with her ex during their divorce (which was finalized in November 2022) so that she and the kids could enjoy the lavish comfort.

In 2021, an insider told Page Six, “Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that’s where the kids are based and growing up.” The source also revealed that while Kim “owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house,” Kanye “owns the actual house.”

In addition to his $2.2 million Calabasas ranch, Kanye has abandoned his 4,000-square-foot Malibu mansion. The oceanfront property has been “left to rot,” according to TMZ.

With his antisemitic rants consuming his career and fame, West’s net worth dropped by a staggering $1.6 billion. Presumably, his words and actions have caught up with him as he tries his hardest to get the Malibu property off his back. The Yeezy boss is facing additional setbacks in that arena after being hit with a $18 million loss. According to the New York Post, the house was originally listed for $53 million, but Ye’s had to lower its price to $39 million.
