Salman Khan backs out of Karan Johar’s The Bull after endless production delays: Report

Salman Khan and Karan Johar were scheduled to reconnect 25 years after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai for the latter’s film, The Bull. However, the film is currently stuck.

Salman Khan and Karan Johar appear to be a cursed collaboration. Twenty-five years after the actor appeared in the filmmaker’s directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the two have attempted to reconcile, but to no avail. According to a Bollywood Hungama story, Salman has opted out of The Bull, an army film produced by Karan’s Dharma Productions. Has the bull stalled?
Due to production problems, the Bull has already been pushed three times. While Salman has been accommodating with his dates thus far, the actor must now begin filming AR Murugadoss’ next action feature, which will be produced by his pal Sajid Nadiadwala. “After much back and forth on the dates, Karan and Vishnu were still unable to agree to the specific deadlines for the shoot. That’s when Salman announced his decision to pull out of the project. Salman graciously told Karan of his choice, according to an unidentified source.

“He might try again to make Bull a reality, but the army film is currently shelved from Salman’s perspective. If Karan can commit to a certain schedule on paper, he may return and try his luck with relaunching the project,” the person said. Vishnu Vardhan of Shershaah fame was slated to direct The Bull, an army picture.

Karan & Salman
The two were scheduled to collaborate to co-produce Anurag Singh’s 2019 period action picture Kesari, but the arrangement fell through. Karan wrote a note for Salman on his birthday last year, recalling how Salman signed Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as a courtesy when no other actor was willing to do so.

Karan hinted on Instagram that he and Salman might reunite for The Bull 25 years later, but did not go further. However, there is no official word on whether the project would be stalled or shelved.
