Twinkle Khanna recalls her ‘transformation from hot chick to cow’ after she gave birth

Twinkle Khanna revealed that her husband Akshay Kumar told someone she was unavailable following the birth of their first child because she was’milking’.

Twinkle Khanna, as Mrs Funnybones, has expressed her thoughts on ‘changing parenting’. Twinkle, who has been married to actor Akshay Kumar since January 2001, wrote in her new column for The Times of India about her first experience with motherhood in 2002, when their son Aarav was born. The couple also has an 11-year-old daughter named Nitara. Also read: Twinkle Khanna recalls claims that she performed at Dawood Ibrahim events.

‘We must nurse without having saggy breasts.’
Twinkle likened what motherhood meant to her as a child to her current self as a “modern mother.” The actor-turned-author wrote, “My journey into motherhood began in 2002, when my son was born. This was the time when my husband (Akshay Kumar) informed a guest that I was unavailable because I was’milking’, which effectively sealed my change from a sexy chick to a cow…”

She also discussed the difficulties of having a baby, noting, “We must breastfeed but not have droopy breasts.” To maintain our waistlines before these critters converted our wombs into their own campervans, we must give them the correct nutrients and avoid eating their leftovers. We must keep them entertained, socialize with the appropriate peers, and applaud their crooked paintings as if we were courtiers kneeling to the emperor without clothes. All of this should be performed using an approach known as ‘soft parenting’, as opposed to our mothers, who treated us like army colonels.”

Twinkle’s Career
Twinkle left filmmaking after a few years of working in films such as Barsaat (1995), for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998), Seenu (1999), Baadshah (1999), Joru Ka Ghulam (2000), and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001).

Mrs. Funnybones, Twinkle’s first nonfiction book, was published in 2015. Her second book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad (2016), is a compilation of short stories. Twinkle’s third book was Pyjamas Are Forgiving (2018), and her fourth, Welcome to Paradise, was published in 2023.
