Barrister Gohar confident PTI founder Imran Khan will soon be released

RAWALPINIBarrister Gohar, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed hope on Tuesday that PTI founder Imran Khan would be released from Adiala Jail within a month and a half, calling it a test for the judiciary to decide on his issues.

“He has been granted bail in one case, and two other cases are awaiting decisions,” Gohar told reporters outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.

Referring to his encounters with the PTI founder, Gohar stated that his vehicle was stopped by security agents at each meeting, and that hurdles continued to be placed in his path.

In response to a question concerning party head Sher Afzal Marwat, Gohar stated that the issue was internal to the party. He added that Marwat had received show-cause notices, to which he answered.

Gohar described the country’s political and economic status as precarious. He stressed that his party’s mandate had been stolen in elections, while inflation was rising and terrorism was expanding. “May Allah have mercy on this country and its people,” he said in prayer.
