Starting on February 17, the PCB’s Lahore headquarters will host the HBL PSL 9.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the marquee event will be played in four locations – Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi – with the finals of the six-team competition taking place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18.
The first game will pit Lahore Qalandars, the reigning champions and two-time winners, against Islamabad United, the winners of the previous two seasons.
Karachi will host 11 matches total—two eliminators, the finals, and a qualifier—during the 34-match T20 competition. Multan will see five matches, while Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will each host nine.
Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings are set to square off in a much awaited match on February 24 and March 9. The match on February 24 will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, while the match on March 9 will take place at National Bank Stadium.
Kings, Qalandars, Sultans, and United will play five matches at their respective home venues. Quetta Gladiators are scheduled to play three matches at each of Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, plus one more match at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 25 against the host team Sultans. Peshawar Zalmi will play four matches at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The ninth edition of the HBL PSL will take place in two legs, much like the previous one. Between February 17 and 27, 14 matches will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. The cricket action will next move to Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi and National Bank Stadium in Karachi, where 16 matches will be played between February 28 and March 12.
