“It was almost like a nonverbal agreement that said, ‘Ok, he’s going to work and I’m going to work.'” I am just going to work here. He went and did his job. He just happens to be really good at his work. “And he did it and returned home,” Eva remarked. She stated it was a “no-brainer” for her to leave acting following the birth of their daughters because the work required her to travel away from her family.
Eva Mendes has admired Ryan’s acting since they appeared together in Derek Cianfrance’s epic crime film The Place Beyond the Pines in 2012. “I’ve never had an encounter like that. The way he works, his dedication to his art, and how he strives to make everything the best it can be, including his co-stars. But unfortunately — or luckily — there is only one Ryan,” she said.

Ryan, 43, and Eva, 50, began dating in 2011. While they are still unmarried, they had two daughters in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
Eva posted to Instagram earlier this year to thank Ryan on his performance as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s satirical film Barbie. “I’m really proud of my man. There was a lot of hatred when he took on this post. So many people are attempting to humiliate him for doing it. Despite all of the #Notmyken criticism and stories published about him, he developed this utterly unique, hilarious, poignant, now legendary character and took it all the way to the Oscars,” Eva wrote in her post.
