Four terrorists killed, FC soldier martyred as security forces foil attack on Turbat naval base


Turbat – Four terrorists were slain and a soldier accepted martyrdom as security forces foiled an attempt on a naval installation in Turbat.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), armed terrorists assaulted the Naval Airbase in Turbat, Balochistan, late night.

The “swift and effective response by the troops ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets” foiled the effort, according to the statement.

According to the ISPR, 24-year-old Sepoy Noman Fareed of the Balochistan Frontier Corps embraced martyrdom during the heavy exchange of fire.

Four terrorists were killed in the operation.

Previously, security agents killed four militants during an intelligence-led operation in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security personnel for foiling the terrorist attempt on Turbat Naval Airbase.

In a statement, he stated that the terrorists were exterminated due to timely and effective action by security forces.

The prime minister underlined Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to eliminating the threat of terrorism. He emphasized that the entire country stands solidly behind its brave security troops.
