Govt committed to implement minimum wages: NA told


ISLAMABAD -On Tuesday, the National Assembly passed a resolution urging the administration to ensure that minimum salaries are paid in both government departments and private firms.

MNA Syed Rafiullah introduced the resolution.

In response, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb, stated that the federal government is dedicated to establishing minimum wage in the capital and its related ministries.

He stated that Deputy Commissioners and Commissioners in the federal capital are in charge of implementing minimum salaries. He went on to say that when parliament passed the minimum wage legislation, a notification was issued to begin its implementation.
