Muhammad Ali’s death anniversary is being remembered today

Tuesday, is remembered as the 18th anniversary of the great Pakistani actor Muhammad Ali’s passing.

Muhammad Ali was born in Rampur, India, on April 19, 1931.

He began working as a broadcaster for Radio Pakistan Hyderabad in 1956.

After that, he relocated to Radio Pakistan Karachi, where he was mentored by the station’s former director general, Zulfiqar Ali Bukhari, for his acting career.

In 1962, he began his cinematic career. In 94 movies, he played the lead role and the “hero.” Throughout his career, he set a record by winning the Nigar awards ten times.

For more than 20 years, the actor—whom his fans referred to as “Shahansha-e-Jazbat” or “Emperor of Emotions”—remained the principal character in Pakistani cinema.

Ali was a top performer in the heyday of Lollywood, and his impact on Pakistani cinema will never be forgotten.

He wed the actress Zeba, and the two became known as “Ali-Zeb.

At his height of success, he also founded the Ali-Zeb Foundation. The Ali-Zeb Foundation supported the nation’s impoverished artists.

Muhammad Ali appeared in over 250 films and was ranked by CNN as one of Asia’s top 25 actors.

Additionally, he received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance honors.

He passed away in Lahore on March 19, 2006, after a heart attack.
