Pakistan calls for ceasefire in Gaza before Ramazan

ISLAMABAD-  Pakistan called a quick ceasefire in Gaza on Thursday, as the Islamic holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin this weekend.  

During the weekly news briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that Islamabad firmly condemns the Israeli military’s slaughter of civilians in Gaza.  

She demanded that conflict victims be given prompt access to relief and medical services.  

claimed that Israeli forces are conducting major abuses of human rights in Gaza. We u Ms Baloch rge a quick ceasefire during Gaza’s fasting month. 

Regarding Indian-occupied Kashmir, the FO spokeswoman stated that Kashmiris are being killed in staged encounters.  

She claimed that India violates human rights in Occupied Kashmir.  

The FO spokesperson called on the world community to take notice of the crimes in Occupied Kashmir. She requested that the Kashmir issue be addressed in accordance with United Nations resolutions.  

Ms Baloch reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s protracted struggle for self-determination.  

She asked that atrocities against the Hurriyat leadership in occupied Kashmir be stopped.
