ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari has called a National Assembly session on April 1.
The president convened the assembly session using the authority granted to him by Article 54 (1) of the Constitution. The President has called an assembly session in Parliament House on Monday, April 1 at 4 p.m.
This will be the second session of the current 16th National Assembly of the country.

Earlier on Friday, a scheduled session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was cancelled due to the absence of government members.
Opposition members, including female parliamentarians, protested outside the assembly hall, chanting anti-government slogans. KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali convened the provincial assembly on March 22.
