Shakti row: BJP calls Rahul Gandhi ‘misogynistic’, Opposition backs Congress leader

Shakti row: BJP leader Nalin Kohli called Rahul Gandhi’s questioning of the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) an insult to Indian voters.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stated on Monday that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ statement demonstrates his “misogynistic mindset”. However, the opposition rallied around the Congressman, backing his remarks in which he accused the government of exploiting central agencies to win elections.

BJP leader Nalin Kohli called Gandhi’s criticism of the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) an insult to Indian voters.

“By making such claims, the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are demeaning the Indian electorate. The electorate of India dictates India’s fate. They are the ones who blessed Prime Minister Modi in 2014 and 2019, and they plainly wish to bless him for a third term, because Narendra Modi considers the entire nation to be his family. “The Prime Minister has one agenda: to make India a developed country by 2047,” Kohli stated.

“They (Congress) are unable to digest the fact that the vote is not coming their way and hence they keep insulting the voters by speaking against the EVMs,” he went on to say.

According to BJP politician Shehzad Poonawalla, Rahul Gandhi is anti-nari shakti (women’s power).

“A number of INDI alliance members have claimed that Hindu Dharma is a scam. Ramcharitmanas is potassium cyanide. The Congress party has a lengthy history of Hindu intolerance, ranging from denying Lord Ram’s existence to making statements about Shakti. Rahul Gandhi’s statement in front of Uddhav Thackeray demonstrates to what extent they can descend. Today, this is not only an insult to the Hindu faith, but also demonstrates Rahul Gandhi’s misogynistic worldview, since he opposes nari-shakti and its manifestation,” he stated.

According to Tarun Chugh, the BJP’s national general secretary, Gandhi views India through the eyes of an Italian.

Rahul Gandhi is looking at India from the perspective of an Italian immigrant…He is attempting to discredit the country and spread misunderstanding. They are always making unscrupulous attempts…They sometimes attack the army, the religion, the country, and the country’s institutions,” he stated.

At a gathering attended by INDIA bloc leaders, Gandhi said that the spirit and integrity of EVMs had been traded to the King.

The word ‘Shakti’ (might) appears in Hinduism. We are battling against Shakti (state power). The question is, what is Shakti, and what does it mean for us? The soul and integrity of EVMs have been sold for the King (Modi). This is a fact. Not only EVMs, but every independent institution in the country, including the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department, have traded their spines to the Centre,” he alleged.

Ram Temple Chief Priest Slams Congress
Acharya Satyendra Das, the top priest of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, stated on Monday that anyone who speak out against gods and goddesses should face jail time.

“This is why the party’s status is deteriorating: it is a Hindu Virodhi party. Bharat is a Hindu majority state; if they make such remarks, who would stand by them? Nari Shakti is the pride of Hindu and Sanatan Dharma. This is reprehensible. “The leader who speaks against our gods and goddesses should be imprisoned,” Acharya Satyendra Das stated.

The opposition backs Rahul Gandhi
Mrityunjay Tiwari, RJD leader, responded to Gandhi’s remark that “PM Modi won’t be able to win elections without EVMs, ED, CBI, and Income Tax” by stating that the public will take retribution.

“What Rahul Gandhi said is correct. “The public will exact their revenge (on the BJP),” he asserted.

Congressman Sandeep Dikshit also supported Gandhi.

“Everyone knows this. Take a look at the electoral bonds that have arrived. They (BJP) have utilized the ED and CBI not only to intimidate the opposition, but also to extract large sums of money from them,” he said.

Responding to the allegation, AAP leader Gopal Rai stated that the INDIA bloc is battling the BJP’s purported attempt to build a dictatorship.

“On one side, the BJP is waging elections to build a dictatorship in the country, while on the other, the INDIA coalition is fighting against it. “The way people spoke out against this dictatorship in Mumbai yesterday, I believe the country, the INDIA alliance, and democracy will win the elections,” he stated.

Pawan Khera, a Congress spokeswoman, stated, “The country will now run with divine power, not an evil force.” Didn’t you remember ‘Shakti’ when your party held demonstrations in support of rapists in Kathua, Unnao, and Hathras? “When women were paraded naked in Manipur, what ‘Shakti’ forced you to remain silent?” When women wrestlers were on the streets and Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was in your house, what ‘power’ were you praying for?”

PM Modi lashes back at Gandhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a similar comment when speaking at a rally in Jagtial.

“The INDI alliance stated in their manifesto that they are fighting against ‘Shakti’. For me, every mother, daughter, and sister is a manifestation of ‘Shakti’. I adore them as ‘Shakti’. I worship Bharat Mata…Their manifesto is to complete ‘Shakti’, and I accept the challenge…’Main jaan ki baazi laga dunga’,” PM Modi stated.
