Shaukat Ali, the legendary folk singer, is commemorated on his death anniversary

This Tuesday marks the third anniversary of the passing of well-known folk singer Shaukat Ali.

In Malikwal Town, Gujarat, on May 3, 1944, Shaukat Ali was born into an artistic family.

He was renowned for using a broad vocal range when singing Sufi poetry.
The song Jaag utha hai sara watan, which he sang during the 1965 war, continues to cheer up our troops.

In 1982, he participated in the Asian Games in New Delhi.

In 1990, Shaukat Ali received the Pride of Performance award.
In addition, Shaukat Ali won other honors, such as “The Pride of Punjab” and “The Voice of Punjab.”

He fought liver disease for a long time before passing away in Lahore on April 2, 2021.
