Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader and former federal minister Tariq Bashir Cheema apologized to PTI MNA Zartaj Gul for disparaging statements made in the National Assembly.
Barrister Gohar, a senior PTI politician, stated that Cheema made threats against the PTI women MNA, and that all parties in the National Assembly supported Zartaj Gull.
Cheema’s membership was also suspended for the future session of the National Assembly.
“I am grateful to all the parties and Barrister Gohar who stood behind me,” stated Zataj Gul.
It is difficult for women to advance in their careers, and I fought extremely hard to do it, she noted.
“I accepted his apology on the directions of my leadership as he visited me in person to tender his apology,” she continued.
