Lokesh took to X to announce that the film’s title would be unveiled on April 22. He shared the poster, writing, “Thalaivar 171 title reveal on April 22.” In the poster, Rajinikanth appears rough and sophisticated, wearing gold watch handcuffs. He also wears gold sunglasses. The poster’s background is made up of mechanical pieces, similar to the interior of a watch.

Given that the handcuffs are constructed of timepieces, people speculated that Suriya’s character Rolex might make an appearance. While the creators have yet to make an official announcement, the film’s poster suggests a connection between time and gold. The film is now in pre-production and will begin production later this year.
About Thalaivar 171.
Rajinikanth’s first film with Lokesh. The picture is produced by Sun Pictures and was announced in September of last year. Sivakarthikeyan is expected to have a significant role in the film, but the rest of the cast and crew have yet to be disclosed. It is predicted that the film’s whole cast will be disclosed on the day the title is announced. However, composer Anirudh Ravichander and stunt director pair Anbariv have already been cast, according to the new poster.

Rajinikanth recently appeared in his daughter Aishwarya’s directorial Lal Salaam earlier this year. He is now filming Vettaiyan with director TJ Gnanavel. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. Lokesh followed up on his very successful 2022 film Vikram with Kamal Haasan with the 2023 film Leo, starring Vijay. He recently made his acting debut in Shruti Haasan’s song Inimel. In addition to the film featuring Rajinikanth, Lokesh has Kaithi 2 with Karthi planned.
