The IFPI 2023 Global Musical Musician of the Year is Taylor Swift.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift won the worldwide recording artist of the year award from the IFPI, which represents the recorded music business, for the fourth time on Wednesday, adding yet another honor to her already impressive list of accomplishments.

The “Anti-Hero” singer, who also won in 2014 and 2019, took home the prize for the second year in a row. The newest date is 2023.

According to the IFPI, the award is determined by taking into account the global sales of a group or artist’s whole body of work in streaming, download, and physical music formats during the course of the calendar year.

Since its launch eleven years ago, Swift has outperformed all other artists in terms of chart position. It is given to the musician who tops the IFPI Global musician Chart.

“She keeps expanding on what constitutes worldwide success. Lewis Morrison, the IFPI’s director of charts and certifications, said in a statement, “Taylor is a unique talent, and her dedication to her craft and her fans is truly phenomenal.”

K-Pop sensations Stray Kids and SEVENTEEN were second and third on the list, respectively, in what the IFPI called a “record year for Korean artists.”

With NEWJEANS at No. 8 and TOMORROW X TOGETHER at No. 7, four K-Pop artists cracked the top 10.

Other artists in the top 10 are The Weeknd at number five and Drake at number four.
