£190mn scandal: Accountability court adjourns hearing until May 15

RAWALPINIOn Monday, an accountability court deferred the hearing in the £190 million scandal case against the PTI founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, until May 15.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case at Adiala Jail. Bushra Bibi, the founder of the PTI, as well as NAB Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi and his staff were present.

Lawyers for the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi, including Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry, Intizar Panjutha, and Shoaib Shaheen, were also present.

Respondent lawyers made requests for medical examinations of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi, as well as meetings with Saeeda Warsi. This was approved by the court.

During the hearing, three NAB witnesses provided statements, and two were cross-examined. So far, 30 witnesses’ statements have been recorded, with 19 being cross-examined.
