Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa discussed their experience working long hours on television shows on their podcast.
The most recent episode of Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast had Manoj Bajpayee and Prachi Desai as guests. The stars were there to promote their film, Silence… Can You Hear It? During the program, Bharti and Harsh discussed their experiences working long hours on the set of a television show, with Bharti even revealing that she saw female performers shoot scenes while on IVs. What Bharti said:
During the show, Harsh stated that the performers used to work on the set for more than 15 hours and get only a few hours of sleep. He stated in Hindi, “I’ve seen directors and creatives suffer from heart attacks and other health problems as a result of sleep deprivation. People would drink tea, smoke, eat only certain foods, and suffer from acidity, but they would be unable to control it.”
Bharti continued, “I’ve even seen girls working with drips on daily soaps.” They were not allowed to return home since the shot had not been broadcast by then.” Harsh further stated that the filmmakers on those sets were just concerned with achieving the perfect shot on camera and were unconcerned about the actors’ lives or deaths. Prachi admitted to drinking a lot of coffee to get through the day because she worked long hours.
