Manjummel Boys OTT release: The Malayalam film, which was released in theaters in February of this year, was well welcomed in Kerala and other states.
Chidambaram’s famous Malayalam film Manjummel Boys, which stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, and Ganapathi, among others, will be available in different languages on Disney+ Hotstar starting May 5. Manjummel Boys currently has an IMDb rating of 8.6. The film will be available on the OTT platform not just in Malayalam, but also in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. The film is set in 2006 in Tamil Nadu’s Kodaikanal and depicts the narrative of a group of guys who visit the famous Gunaa caverns, named after Kamal Haasan’s 1991 film, which was shot there.

The adrenaline-fueled survival thriller will feature a group of friends fighting against the odds to save a friend from a dangerous predicament. Manjummel Boys also saw the rebirth of the song Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan from Gunaa, which appears at important periods in the film. Manjummel Boys opened in theaters on February 22 and in Telugu on April 6.

Chidambaram, who also wrote the film, said in a press release that he is overwhelmed and thrilled with the reception. He stated, “I’m extremely overwhelmed by the response Manjummel Boys has received. We set out to make a picture that connects universally and transcends linguistic borders, and seeing it connect with people throughout India is quite rewarding.”
He added that he hopes the OTT release will be well-received, given that the audience can stream it in their preferred language: “Now collaborating with Disney+ Hotstar to make the movie available to audiences across the country in their preferred language is an absolute pleasure, and I hope the audience embraces it with the same love and excitement.”
