Grok, Elon Musk’s chatbot, will get an upgrade, the artificial intelligence startup xAI announced on Thursday.
According to a statement from xAI, early testers and current Grok users will have access to the new version, dubbed Grok-1.5, on the social media network X, formerly known as Twitter, in the coming days.
According to the startup, the new version’s performance in coding and math-related jobs is one of the most noticeable enhancements.
Musk established xAI last year in an attempt to develop a “maximum truth-seeking AI” in opposition to Alphabet’s Google and Microsoft-backed OpenAI.
The business launched Grok for X Premium+ users in December.
Days after the billionaire filed a lawsuit against OpenAI for allegedly abandoning its initial goal in favor of a for-profit business model, Musk announced earlier this month that xAI would open-source Grok.
