A video of Sidhu Moosewala’s father and infant brother’s photographs being aired in Times Square, New York, has gone viral.
Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, the parents of late Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala, recently welcomed a baby son. His parents named the newborn Shubhdeep after his late brother, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala. Pictures of Balkaur, Shubhdeep, and Sidhu were recently broadcast at Times Square, New York, and recordings of the event have surfaced online. Times Square tribute
A fan posted a video of the tribute to Sidhu and his newborn sibling at Times Square, captioned “Big moment for Sidhu Moose Wala: His dad and newborn baby’s photo shining bright in New York’s Time Square.” In addition to a childhood photo of Sidhu, the film includes images of Balkaur and Shubhdeep. Sidhu is also seen with his father in one of the photos.
Reactions on the Times Square homage
“Big moment for Times Square,” a fan tweeted in response to the video. Another fan commented, “Born star…..Pride of Punjab.” One fan declared that the ‘legend is returning’, while another described the infant boy as ‘fortunate’. Many admirers posted heart emojis underneath the video, with others speculating on how much the Times Square area must have cost the fan who paid Sidhu tribute.
Balkaur and Charan had a baby child two years after their son Sidhu passed away. Balkaur posted a photo of his newborn kid on Instagram earlier this week, with Sidhu’s caption stating ‘legends never die’. He also posted a video thanking the hospital for its treatment. The video shows Balkaur and Charan being emotional over their newborn. Balkaur cut and distributed a cake to mark the occasion.
In a video message uploaded on X and Instagram, Balkaur said that the Punjab government was investigating the family about the ‘legality’ of the child after it was revealed that Shubhdeep was conceived through IVF. Balkaur further added that he will ‘give the government with all legal documentation’ for the child.
