International Women’s Day Special: Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya to Tina Datta, actors share which woman they idolise

On International Women’s Day, we ask actors about a woman they admire in the fraternity.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate by asking actors which women they admire and look up to in their profession. Take a peek.

1. DIVYANKA TRIPATHI DAHIYA—SMRITI IRANI

Hindustan Times is your fastest source for breaking news! Read now.

I respect Smriti Irani ji’s professional trajectory. It’s fascinating how she started out as a model, rose to prominence as an Indian television actor, and then went on to become a producer and successful politician. She learned herself skills of the trade while on the fly. She is a fast learner and executor, and I find her to be a very motivating person

2. Tina Datta, Alia Bhatt.

I adore the way Alia Bhatt carries herself. She’s an inspiration to all of us. From being the best actress our business has in this generation, she took the risk of marrying at the height of her career, embracing parenthood, and continuing to work through it all. I admire her ability to strike a good balance between her professional and personal lives.

3. AISHWARYA SAKHUJA, VIDYA BALAN

Vidya Balan is my idol, and I truly look up to her. For me, she is the epitome of perseverance. In her interviews, she has expressed how she was repeatedly rejected, but she did not quit up. She decided to stick to her plan. This kind of ‘try and try till you achieve’ mantra also dominates my life.

4. CHARU ASOPA—SUSHMITA SEN

Sushmita Sen is one woman I admire greatly, and I know her personally. I’ve seen her work extremely hard and complete her assignments while working on a project. She puts her all into whatever she does. She has taught me how to handle situations in life gracefully. She is really professional about her work. Being a working mother is not easy, yet she does it admirably. Managing all aspects of life is not simple, yet she does it fluidly and wonderfully, which is a significant takeaway for me.

5. DEEPIKA SINGH – HEMA MALINI

Hema Malini ji is one woman whose profession I admire since she is an excellent classical dancer, which I have always enjoyed. She has had a fantastic career, with numerous successful films. Furthermore, after becoming a mother to Esha Deol and beginning to receive motherly roles, she took a break and returned to continue her dancing career. She has been a Dream Girl up until now! He works in film, classical dance, and is also an excellent politician. I want to be able to control my acting and dance skills in the same way that she does. “She gives me hope!” is a key takeaway for me.

6. NEHA PENDSE — PRIYANKA CHOPRA JONAS

The one woman I absolutely admire is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Being an outsider, building a name in Bollywood, taking a break, moving to a completely other business, making a name in a way that no other Indian has ever done, she is more than just a name; she is the queen! She has made some very daring and gutsy decisions in her life. It’s inspiring that they’ve paid off so well. Women like them inspire outsiders like us in the profession.

She is also extremely well-read, articulates her ideas well, and is a boss woman! It’s not just because of her acting profession and success, but also because of what that success has done to her as a person, which has required a lot of hard work. In every way, it is Priyanka Chopra!

7. RASHAMI DESAI — GAURI KHAN

I admire Gauri Khan. She is the best idol who ensured that family and career demands were balanced. Plus, her own career is on another graph; despite the ups and downs, she has stood firm like a pillar. She has demonstrated that women have so much to give and receive. She is someone I truly like, and I believe that if success is a ratio, then work is not a priority, but it is a must. She is amazing, and I genuinely admire her.
