Raisi wraps up visit, leaves for Sri Lanka

Karachi – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi flew for Sri Lanka in the early hours of Wednesday morning, following his visit to Pakistan.

The Iranian President departed for Sri Lanka from Karachi Airport. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori, and other senior officials bid the Iranian President farewell at Jinnah International Airport.

Earlier, Iranian President Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi stated that Pakistan and Iran have profound historical, religious, cultural, and civilizational linkages, and that both countries want to create centers of arts and learning as well as promote arts and sciences.

During his visit at the historic Government College University (GCU), he spoke to students and professors about the importance of focusing on arts, sciences, and technology in order to shine among the nations.

President Raisi stated that our institutions were centers of study and research, and that a comprehensive plan in the education sector might pay off.

On Allama Iqbal, the Iranian President stated that the poetry of East Asian poet Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal is particularly well received in Iran.

He stated that Pakistan and Iran have the same view on the Palestinian issue.

Dr Raisi stated that Iran would strengthen its collaboration with Pakistan in the energy and other sectors.

The Iranian President congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their warm hospitality during his visit.
